We moved to our current headquarters in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.

EPCM launches Tecnologias COBRA division, Chile
We launched Tecnologias COBRA in 1998 to provide a strong local presence for our tankhouse clients and to service machinery used in South America’s natural resource industry. Located in the heart of the South American copper belt, COBRA operates the largest cathode manufacturing and reconditioning centre in the world today.

Oneira division launched in Canada
EPCM’s engineering unit became Oneira Incorporated, continuing to deliver engineering consulting services to leading industrial companies around the globe. Oneira (now called EPCM Engineering) is located in Oakville, Ontario.

EPCM pioneers robotics in the natural resources industry
EPCM was the first automation company in the world to introduce robotics material handling of cathodes and anodes. This resulted in robotic-based equipment becoming the preferred choice and the industry standard.

EPCM Supply division launched in Canada
EPCM Supply was established in 2002 and, in 2015, opened a cathode manufacturing and refurbishment centre for the North American, European and Asian markets. The facility, located in Oakville, Canada, complements the capacity of our Chilean operation.

EPCM Europe operations established in Germany
We again expanded our global footprint by establishing a sister facility to Antofagasta, Chile, in Hamburg, Germany. EPCM Europe serves the EU, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Celebrating 40 years in business

Oneira rebrands to EPCM Engineering, which underlines the breadth and cohesion of services provided across all branches of the EPCM group.

EPCM India is created to serve our clients in Asia
Continuing to expand its international footprint, The EPCM Group launches a new cathode manufacturing center in Ahmedabad, India.

EPCM strengthens its presence in North and South America with the opening of new plants
EPCM expands its operations on Canadian soil with operations in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. And it extends its presence in South America with the opening of a plant in Arequipa, Peru.

EPCM expands hydrometallurgical technology capabilities through acquisition of ANCOR TECMIN
EPCM strengthened its position in the global non-ferrous metals sector through the acquisition of ANCOR TECMIN, expanding its expertise in electrorefining and electrowinning technologies. This milestone reinforced EPCM’s operational footprint in South America and enhanced its ability to deliver integrated tankhouse solutions worldwide.

EPCM Celebrating 45 years of Global Insight & Local Presence
EPCM celebrated its 45th anniversary, marking more than four decades of engineering innovation, automation leadership, and project delivery across global markets. The milestone reflects the continued trust of our clients and EPCM’s commitment to building long-term partnerships while expanding capabilities across regions.

EPCM expands into Africa through the acquisition of Castle Lead Works & consolidated its presence in North America
EPCM expanded its global footprint into Africa through the acquisition of Castle Lead Works, strengthening its hydrometallurgical technology portfolio and manufacturing capabilities for the global base metals industry.

During the same period, EPCM further consolidated its presence in North America with the opening of new facilities in the United States and Mexico, supporting regional growth and enhancing service capacity for mining and industrial clients.
