We are currently searching for a Payroll and Accounts Payable Administrator to join our team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and growing company with a great atmosphere.
Roles & Responsibilities:
As the Payroll and Accounts Payable Administrator, you will be primarily responsible for doing bi-weekly payroll (30%) and daily accounts payable activities (70%).
Our ideal candidate will have proven on payroll and accounts payable experience, with a clear understanding of the importance of carefully following the processes, and keeping accurate records that are up to date and organized.
You will be comfortable working independently with limited supervision from the Accounting Team Leader.
Responsibilities will include:
– In Office Position.
Payroll (30%):
- Reconcile timesheets
- Set up new hires
- Update profiles
- Update Manulife contribution report
- WSIB filing
- Submit payroll information to Payworks
Accounts Payable (70%):
- Receiving and organizing invoices primarily via email;
- Matching invoices to backup documents and purchase orders;
- Identifying missing documentation and obtaining copies in a timely manner;
- Identifying invoices that require additional review by supervisors or Managers, communicating with the appropriate parties, and maintaining records of outstanding requests;
- Communicating regularly with Team Leader regarding invoice issues, and/or aging invoices;
- Assisting with entering approved invoices into the accounting system;
- Reviewing vendor statements on a regular basis to ensure all invoices have been received and communicating with vendors about any discrepancies found;
- Ensure proper document control;
Additional Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be fluent in English. Spanish is a plus.
- Intermediate skills in Excel, Adobe, and Outlook;
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing circumstances.
